Child Month in Cayman: What’s On For the Remainder of May

May is Child Month. With a little over one week left, you can still celebrate with your little ones at a slew of upcoming family-friendly events.
Here’s what’s happening in Cayman for the remainder of Child Month.
22 May: Talk Early, Talk Often at the Family Resource Centre
Parents are invited to attend an interactive skills session to help children development.
23 May: Mothers and Daughters (MAD) Cricket at King’s Sports Centre
Family cricket sessions for young women and their moms, aunties or grandmothers. Learn the skills of the sport in a community environment.
24, 30 and 31 May: Trivia Game Nights
Have fun with the family as you test your knowledge at these trivia game nights.
24 May at Sir John A. Cumber School, 30 May at Alton Rutty Civic Centre in Cayman Brac, and 31 May at George Town Town Hall.
25 May: Wellness 101 at the Family Life Centre
Feed Our Future, Cayman Heart Fund and Cayman Food Revolution host a day of interactive cooking demos, health screenings and Q&A sessions on preparing healthy food on a budget.
25 May: Real Life Superhero movie night at Camana Bay
Have your kids dress as their favourite superhero and enjoy an outdoor screening of The Lego Movie at Camana Bay. Pizza and juice will be provided by the Department of Children and Family Services.
26 May: Sunday Storytime at Books & Books
Enjoy the weekly free story time with Miss Izzy at Books & Books in Camana Bay. The engaging event also includes singalong music.
26 May: Painted bucket art class with Kara Julian
Produce a functional piece of art at this creative workshop. Children 12 and up are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
28 and 30 May: Snuggle and Read
Snuggle up with your child and read a book together at one of these heartwarming events. 28 May at Prospect Primary School and 30 May at Cayman Academy.
1 June: Cupcake Wars at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel
Talented kids will compete in a cupcake competition hosted by the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman in partnership with the National Youth Culinary Programme.
