In the Kitchen: G’s Dry Rub

BBQ king Gariel Ferguson shares his recipe for a dry rub that easily elevates the taste of your grilled dishes.

The rub can be used on steaks, seafood and burgers. You can also add a small amount on meats before rubbing on spice paste for a quick flavour boost.

Ingredients:

½ cup sea salt

¼ cup coarse ground black pepper

¼ cup ground pimento

½ cup garlic powder

2 tsp brown sugar

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until combined. Store the dry rub in an airtight container and use as needed when grilling.
