The vibrancy of spring and summer are influencing this season’s beauty trends in a big way.  Looks inspired by nature are showing up everywhere, from couture runways to red carpets. Whether you embrace bold, floral colours or prefer a dewy, fresh-face, there’s something for everyone.

Here are the best beauty trends for spring and summer.

Bold Eyeliner

Bold eyeliner is making a big statement this year, from neon yellows to bright blues and deep greens. The style has been seen on top runways including Christian Siriano, Reem Acra, and Gabriela Hearst. The key to pulling off this striking look is to keep the rest of your makeup subtle – a nude lip and soft blush will do the trick.

Graphic Eyeliner

Another standout trend for eyeliner this year is graphic patterns. For runway examples of this look, check out Marni, House of Holland, and Dior’s spring 2019 shows. To achieve it, don’t just follow your lash line. Instead, create artistic lines above your eyelids, freehand-draw designs at the outer corner of your eyes, or wing your eyeliner without filling it in.

Pretty Pinks

If any hue could be crowned the colour of this season, it’s pink. Take inspiration from the runways of Genny, Giorgio Armani, and Brandon Maxwell for this pretty craze. For a bolder version of the look, match pink eyeshadow with heavier pink blush. (tokyosmyrna.com/)

Bright Lips

Put away your muted lipsticks and bring in the brights for spring. Givenchy, Chanel, Rodarte, and Escada all showcased vivid lip colours at their runway shows. From corals to pinks and classic red, one rule is certain: the brighter, the better.

No Makeup

The no-makeup trend is quite the departure from the colour-heavy looks on the rest of our list. If you prefer to let your natural beauty shine, this one’s for you. Stella McCartney, Michael Kors, and Balmain all featured models with minimal makeup. For this look, go as bare as possible with light, breathable foundation (if any), a thin layer of mascara, and a neutral lip gloss.

There you have it. Try one of these spring and summer beauty trends on your next night out this season. All eyes will be on you!
