We are in the tropics, and there is always a variety of fruits available in either season.

Having a panoply of options is wonderful because we’re going to talk about the benefits of fruits.  You just may want to have a blender or a juicer handy when we’re finished.

Fruits are an excellent source of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals.  And, daily intake helps reduce the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and some cancers.

We will highlight three incredible superpowers of fruits:

Detoxifying Power

A diet of fruit is an excellent means of detoxifying the system, getting rid of impurities in the blood.  Grapefruit mixed with celery, parsley, and aloe vera works detoxifying wonders.

Energising Power

Fruits are an excellent source of energy.  A diet rich in fruit provides the body with natural sugars.  And, this is preferable to foods with filled artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup.  As a beverage, juiced apples are a great picker-upper.  Add a little wheat germ for an extra boost.

Digestive Regulation Power

Fruits, most of them, are natural laxatives and are superb at regulating bowel activity.  While prunes are typically used for excretion, a combination of apples, celery and cucumber also help.  A juice made of pineapple, mango and plums is also good for the digestive system.

We have all heard the adage: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” We don’t know who said it, but we agree.  A diet rich in fruits helps stave off numerous health problems as it boosts your immune system.

And those with a predilection for fresh fruit, you’re on the right track—nothing beats eating raw, fresh fruits!

Get your juicer or blender and enjoy.
