Best Beaches in St Lucia: Anse Mamin Beach
by Karen Rollins May 6, 2024

St Lucia’s Anse Mamin Beach is counted as one of the best on the island because of its vibrant volcanic sand and stunning tropical scenery.
Situated on the west coast about 30 minutes from the town of Soufriere, and a short walk away from Anse Chastenet Resort and Jade Mountain, the beach is tranquil, relatively secluded, and perfect for quiet reflection.
Take a seat on the warm sand or jump in the water and enjoy swimming with the diverse marine life. Loungers and umbrellas are available for rent, along with snorkelling and water sports equipment, although it is important to note that there are no lifeguards on duty.
If you are feeling really adventurous you can hire a guide and hike through the dense, tropical hillside to explore the ruins of Anse Mamin Plantation which dates from the 18th century. Several other trails are perfect for self-guided hikes or biking.
You can also hire a boat to take you to the majestic Pitons.
Anse Mamin Beach has bathroom facilities and everything you need to enjoy a day at the beach. When you get hungry, you’ll find burgers and salads as well as cocktails at the nearby resort although it is quite pricey.
