The beauty industry always seems to be coming up with something new to convince us to part with our money.

Whether these products and devices really work is often subjective but there’s no doubt that some of them at least make us feel good.

We’ve researched three ‘must-have’ gadgets which you might want to add to your beauty regime, because ‘you’re worth it!’

Jade Facial Roller

If you’ve ever woken up with puffy-eyes after a late night of studying, or partying, and had to go out with sunglasses on, then this could be the product for you – a handheld massaging tool.

Jade rollers are said to “boost blood circulation, reduce under-eye swelling, and help products absorb better into your skin.”

Typically made with one or two cooling jade stone heads, these gadgets work best after 15 minutes in the fridge and when combined with your favourite eye cream.

Some of them also come with bigger rollers for your cheeks, nose or forehead.

Deep skin cleansing system

There are several deep cleansing systems, brushes, sponges and tools on the market. These gadgets are reputedly better than just using your fingers to apply cleanser because they get down deep into your pores.

One of the most popular devices in this category is the egg-shaped ‘Foreo Luna Anti-Aging and Skin Cleaning System’, which might be pricey (at around £125) , but according to all reviews is worth every penny.

Not only does the Luna give your face and neck a deep cleanse, it also offers two minutes of exfoliating pulses which are “gentle enough for everyday use”, while stimulating lymphatic drainage to reduce puffiness. It is stylish and lightweight and the brush head is made up of anti-bacterial silicone bristles, so you’ll never have to buy a replacement.

Another popular deep cleansing device is the ‘Clinique ‘Sonic System’ Purifying Cleansing Brush’, which has the added selling point of being developed by dermatologists.

Light therapy device

If you suffer from regular breakouts, or even just the odd hormonal spot, then you might want to invest in one of the latest light therapy gadgets.

According to experts these products, which use red light to reduce inflammation and redness and blue light to kill bacteria, can actually work to control how the skin reacts when it has pimples.

Although light therapy is not suitable for anyone suffering from whiteheads, blackheads or severe acne, it is believed to lead to clearer, blemish-free skin.

The ‘Neutrogena Visibly Clear Light Therapy Acne Mask’ has proven to be popular and is described as “revolutionary”. It is also one of the cheapest light therapy devices on the market.
