St Lucia Honey Show 2023

St Lucia is set to host its third annual honey show from 8-10 December 2023.

The event will be held at Constitution Park in Castries on 8 and 9 December before moving to Rodney Bay Marina on the final day. Doors open at 9am.

The show is a chance for local beekeepers to sell their products, learn about various beekeeping techniques and compete for prizes including best honey, wax, and other associated categories.

This time around, beekeepers from St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, St Vincent & The Grenadines, and Grenada have also been invited to take part in the competition aspect of the show.

St Lucia recently gained recognition for its honey at the prestigious UK National Honey Show, which was held at the end of October in Surrey. St Lucian apiculturist (beekeeper), Donson Stanley, won the Medal of Ukraine for the Best Honey in the World outside of the British Isles.

Well-known local honey producer Jeg Clarke and Iyanola Apiculture placed second and third in two other categories.
