As you know, in our Yello Juice Bar series, we share with you juices with benefits—health benefits.  We’ll share the fruit or vegetable, and you grab your blender.

But before you start blending, first let’s discuss the ailment.

Anaemia is a health condition that results from a lack of haemoglobin in the blood.  Haemoglobin is an iron-rich protein found in the body’s red blood cells.  It carries oxygen to the tissues throughout the body.  When your haemoglobin is low, your body will not get enough oxygen.

The results are tiredness, weakness, and irritability.

There are various types of anaemia. Some forms are mild and can develop during pregnancy, while others may cause lifelong health issues.   However, iron-deficiency anaemia is the strain most commonly known.

Iron-deficiency anaemia is treatable and usually, iron supplements or dietary changes are enough to see a difference.
