Belmont Walkway on Bequia, an island in the Grenadines.

St Vincent and the Grenadines is a gem and those of us who live here know it. If you want to fill your Instagram feed with breathtaking photos of home or you want to document your vacation, you need pictures of the best places.

Here are six of the most Instagrammable places in SVG.

Belmont Walkway

Bequia’s Belmont Walkway is one of the prettiest footpaths around, and any stroll along it can produce Instagram-worthy photos. The walkway carries you around the headland from Plantation House to the world-famous Princess Margaret beach. There’s also a snorkelling platform for those who want to explore the technicolour reef, so if you’ve got an underwater camera, you’re in luck!

Montreal Gardens

At the head of the Mesopotamia Valley, with a backdrop of rugged hills, sits the Montreal Gardens. It’s a lush, beautiful landscape with colourful plants and a mountain stream running through it. It’s a lovely place to go photo crazy, with wonderful snapshots around every bend.

La Soufrière

If you’re willing to make the trek, then you won’t be able to beat the photos of the impressive crater of La Soufrière Volcano. There’s nothing quite like a photo at the top of a volcano rising over 4,000 feet above sea level, the highest point on the island.

Fort Duvernette

Fort Duvernette is a striking spot. Known locally as Rock Fort, this towering 195-feet high volcanic plug stands tall over Calliaqua Bay and Indian Bay. You can make your way to the canon battery at the top of the fort for photos of the beautiful views.  A shot of the fort itself from a boat also makes for an eye-catching photo.

Tobago Cays

All five of the cays have one or more gorgeous beaches which are perfect for photos. One of the cays, Petit Tabac, was a filming location for the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Just bring a bottle of rum to pose with, and you’ve got an Insta-worthy shot. If you have access to a camera that can work underwater, then get some photos beneath the waves in this protected marine park.

Salt Whistle Bay

Along azure waters, Salt Whistle Bay’s pure white sands are shaded by sea grape and palm trees. It’s one of the most beautiful spots in SVG and an excellent place to take beach photos that will be the envy of everyone following your feed.
