Gabrielle Agostini is a creative travel blogger, known as The Trini Traveller, whose tales are based on her experiences of traveling to over 46 countries while living in London, Montreal, Brisbane and Trinidad and Tobago. She is currently based in her home country of Trinidad and Tobago, where she has worked for the last 5 years in strategy consulting at PwC and Deloitte. Gabrielle has recently joined her family business CGA ltd to help drive the development of their coconut oil based products and make CGA an international brand. She has a great desire to promote locally made products whether it be food, beauty, clothing or art.

Gabrielle, through The Trini Traveller, hopes to inspire and influence individuals to travel the world and aims to promote tourism in the Caribbean. She is currently working for tourism agencies and fashion designers to promote Caribbean Fashion and Tourism and hopefully one day, she can become brand Ambassador for the region.

Where do you shop for clothes in Trinidad?
I have recently been focusing on supporting local and regional fashion designers like Lisaseetaidesign, Adrian Foster, Deftment and many others but I also like to visit retail outlets like Little Black Dress and Koral Beach Boutique.

What’s your favourite fashion accessory?
I love a bold neck piece but I can’t forget my panama hat during my travels.

How would you describe your personal style in three words?
Chic, classy and comfortable.

What would you wear for a night on the town?
I would wear a flowy dress and a pair of heels.

Heels or flats?
I always prefer wearing heels, even if it is a pair of my favourite wedge espadrilles.

How would you describe your work attire?
Professional, sharp and colourful. I wear a suit every day but I do love bright pieces to accent my outfit such as a red skirt or a white jacket with gold trimming. I usually wear flats around the office but I do pop on my fancy heels just in time for a client meeting!

What scent do you wear?
Ralph by Ralph Lauren.

What lipstick do you wear?
Chanel (Romance).

What is your skin care routine?
Every morning I shower with purist body soap (locally made from CGA ltd.), use Simple face wash and apply my Clarins multi-active day face cream. At night, I apply my make-up remover and toner to remove unwanted dirt. I wash my face then apply Clarins night cream. For any blemishes, I use Constance Estate Virgin Coconut Oil (also locally made by CGA Ltd).

Where do you get your hair styled?
I have recently found Tanja Wong at the T-Room in Normandie and I love her work.

Which celebrity’s style do you most admire?
As I am blogger, I must go with my top blogger celebrities – Olivia Palermo, Tash Oakley and Nataly Osmann. Each of these celebrities embody each of my favourite styles – chic, romantic and dramatic respectively.

What are your classic must-have items in your closet?
I love bright colours so I must have a collection of dresses in a variety of colours like white, yellow, blue and pink.

What is your fashion obsession?
Every year it seems to change. 2015 was the year of the shoe. 2016 was the year of the bikini and I am still deciding on what my 2017 obsession shall be. I am sure the local fashion designers can help me solve this dilemma
