Three of the Best Ways to Find True Love

Being single can be fun – you go out when you want, with who you want, and there’s no-one to please but yourself.

But sometimes being on your own can become lonely and you might start to wonder if you’ll ever meet anyone ‘who really gets you’.

The good news is, if you’re interested in finding ‘the one’ there are lots of ways you can go about meeting someone new. Here are three of the best which you can try just before Valentine’s Day!

Online / app dating

There are a plethora of online dating sites and apps available for single people.

Some delve deep into your past relationships, like eHarmony and OKCupid, and ask any number of personal and meaningful questions before matchmaking you with a potential partner.

Others like Tinder, Flirt or Happn are more about appearance and convenience but that doesn’t mean people don’t find their lifelong partners via these apps.

The key is to find a website which you feel comfortable with, and which you think has the best chance of finding your soulmate.

Once you decide to go the online dating route, put in the effort to set up an honest profile, and then take your time messaging and chatting with potential matches before deciding whether to go out on a date.

If you do decide to meet someone face-to-face, make sure you meet in a public place and let someone you know, know where you’re going.

Start a hobby

A hobby or interest that gets you out of the house, and helps you meet new people, is a great way to find a partner.

Going to the gym, learning to paint or attending dance classes will widen your circle of friends and ensure that you engage with people who you might otherwise not have met, but who are on a similar wavelength to you.

Make sure you choose a hobby that you’ll enjoy and will be able to maintain, so that way, even if you don’t meet your life partner, you’ll learn something different and worthwhile and make new friends.

Ask a friend

Any number of relationship surveys have discovered that many people initially meet their husband / wife through mutual friends, so if you want to change your status from ‘single’ to ‘dating’, it could be beneficial to ask friends if they know of anyone who is fun and available.

Friends can be great matchmakers because they already know a lot about you and what you may or may not want from a new boy/girlfriend.

If you feel nervous about a blind date, you could also ask your friend and their partner for a double date, which might relieve some of the tension.

Of course, there are many other ways to find a partner, so take your time and explore all the options and remember that being single can be the ideal opportunity for introspection and self-love.

Just keep your heart open to any and all possibilities, and hopefully love will find you where you are.
