It’s no secret that prices in Turks and Caicos can put some strain on your wallet. The islands are beautiful but can be challenging for those on a tight budget.

If you’re looking for cheap eats in TCI, try these spots.

Graceway Gourmet

In Grace Bay, cheap eats are few and far between, but the supermarket Graceway Gourmet offers pretty good value. You can pick up breakfast pastries, coffee and fresh juices for less than you’ll find in most other places. The deli counter also has cooked dishes and a cold salad bar.

Sweet T’s

En route to the airport, away from the tourist centre of Grace Bay is the little local favourite, Sweet T’s. The eatery specialises in chicken and offers some of the best value on the island.

Turkberry

For a tasty, not budget-breaking dessert, Turkberry Frozen Yogurt in Regent Village on Provo is hard to beat. There’s a wide range of frozen yogurt flavours and scrumptious donuts.

Kalooki’s

Kalooki’s restaurant in Le Vele Plaza in Grace Bay is a great option for tasty, filling Caribbean dishes that won’t totally destroy your wallet. The restaurant has daily lunch specials and a range of vegetarian options.

Bugaloos

This beach-side restaurant in Five Cays offers some of the best conch on Provo. On the way out to Chalk Sound, a dirt road off the main thoroughfare takes you to Bugaloos. The cracked conch is delicious and for Provo, the meal prices are extremely reasonable.

Barbie’s Bar and Restaurant

Over on Grand Turk, if you’re looking for a reasonably-priced and delicious meal, head to Barbie’s on Front Street. The conch fritters are excellent.

Miss B’s

There’s not a huge range of options on North Caicos. Miss B’s on King’s Road is a good spot servicing lunch with generous portions. This is a great place to eat before heading on to Mudjin Harbour in Middle Caicos.
