Five of the Most Instagrammable Places in TCI
by Stephanie Koathes May 13, 2019
We all know that TCI is gorgeous. But if you’re looking to upgrade your Instagram page then where should you head for photos? Here are five of TCI’s most beautiful, Instagrammable spots.
Mudjin Harbour
Mudjin Harbour is TCI’s most striking landscape. From cliffs to jagged rocks buffeted by the waves, to a wide swath of white sand, hidden stairs and a secret beach, it’s a photographer’s dream. There is no shortage of beautiful, Insta-worthy shots at Mudjin Harbour.
Grace Bay
Grace Bay has been voted as the best beach in the world many times by numerous publications. For the ultimate vacation photo for your Instagram, there’s no better place than Grace Bay. A long stretch of powdery white sand, touched by calm blue waters this is proudly an #ILiveWhereYouVacation spot for those who live nearby.
Grand Turk Lighthouse
Stepping away from the coastal landscape, the lighthouse on Grand Turk offers a different kind of photo op. It’s the only lighthouse in TCI (though it’s not operational) and is the main historical destination on Grand Turk.
Chalk Sound
This clear, sandy-bottomed lagoon on Providenciales, with its tiny scrub-covered islets, is one of the country’s most beautiful and unique places. Chalk Sound is a great place to take some lovely panoramic shots.
Little Water Cay (Iguana Island)
Little Water Cay is a perfect place for photos if you’re a real nature lover, and not afraid of reptiles. Also known as Iguana Cay, this little island is home to the biggest population of TCI’s endemic rock iguanas. Selfie with an iguana anyone?
Honourable mention: Conch Bar Caves on Middle Caicos
These caves are incredible. Conch Bar Caves is the largest above-ground cave system in the Bahamas-Turks and Caicos chain. If you can make the low light conditions work for you, then this is a beautiful place to photograph.
