TCI’s Annual Wine Cellar Golf & Fishing Tournament: 7-10 March 2024

TCI’s annual Wine Cellar Golf and Fishing Tournament is on this year from 7-10 March at the Blue Haven Marina and Royal Turks & Caicos Golf Club.

This event combines fishing with golf and promises lots of prizes and surprises while also giving back to the local community. 

The tournament begins on Thursday 7 March at Simone’s Bar & Grill with the Calcutta and Captains’ Meeting. This is when captains enter a friendly bidding war for their respective vessels.

On Friday and Saturday, the fishing takes place, with around 15 boats heading out to sea to find the biggest catch. Both days feature an auction of the day’s fresh fish which usually includes Mahi Mahi, tuna, and Wahoo. 

Music, food, entertainment, and child friendly games are also available to entertain guests. 

The weekend concludes with a golf tournament on Sunday where players vie for bragging rights. A prize raffle after the golf usually includes some wonderful items donated by the tournament’s main sponsors.

All proceeds from the event are donated to local youth charities.
