Caribbean Heart Care Medcorp (CHCm) opened its doors 21 years ago, since 1993 and has proven itself to be one of the best heart surgery units in the world and one of the most affordable within the region. In 2012 just under 400 open cardiovascular surgeries were performed. There was a 100% success rate of the 250 adult open heart surgeries performed at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in collaboration with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. Since then we have been performing over 400+ open heart surgeries every year, including emergencies, with success rates equivalent to other world class cardiovascular organizations. This outstanding achievement is attributable to CHCm’s committed team of health care specialists and their strict adherence to the UK's standards of practice for patient care. For the past 8 years CHCm has conducted over 8,000 catheterization procedures, performed by a group of high volume local and international Interventionalists.
