We rented a car through Hertz/Mystique Car Rental and Tours overcharged our car rental and their employees failed to answer phones and pick us up from the airport.
We arrived in Provo around 1030 on a Saturday night. I called two days prior to confirm our car rental and also called the day of to let them know the flight was delayed by 2 hours. When we arrived at the airport there was not a representative at their desk. However, they had their Taxi service waiting. The lady stated Hertz was closed and she would take us to the vacation rental. While at the airport I called again and again no answer. The Mystique "taxi" service stated the cost would be $10 per person and Hertz would reimburse the fee.
The next day I called Hertz/Mystique car rental. Upon picking up the vehicle the employees informed me that they would NOT reimburse the taxi fee and they would be charging me for the 7 day car rental even though we were not able to pick the car up until the following day. The female employee stated it was my fault because I had not called; however, I informed her I had called and no one answered the phone. Hertz/Mystique Car Rental charged my card for the seven days and increased the daily rate by $13 per day. Returned the car I showed them the original contract where it stated the daily rate. They refused to honor the contract, even after I emailed them the original contract. They refused to honor the original price and reimburse the taxi. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company in order for the funds to be reimbursed. USE AVIS or GRACE BAY CAR RENTAL. They will actually pick you up and charge you the correct fees.
