Specialty Minerals Limited was formed in 2008 for the import and distribution of blasting abrasives. They currently represent US Minerals (manufacturers of Black Diamond abrasives) and Blastrite located in South Africa.
Sand Products Limited (Parent Company)
Sand Products is a Trinidadian, family owned business which was formed in 1974 as a sand processing venture that produced different grades of sand for oil field applications, water filtration, sand/cement blends and sand blasting. The operation was first started with one rotary drier, a sifter, a forklift and just three employees. The Factory now consists of three sand plants that dry and grade sand for several industries.
Oil Field Applications -
Sand Products has been importing and distributing Gravel packing sand, Frac sand and Silica Flour for the oil industry for more than 20 years. Representing brands such as Badger Mining Corp, Unimin and US Silica. They supply to large Oil service supply companies such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Tucker Energy. Sand Products also manufacturers Sand/Cement blends for anchoring and supporting of sub sea pipelines.
Water Filtration -
Sand Products processes a wide range of filter media for water treatment plants, water wells, pool filters, athletic grounds, Etc. Most Notably, many of WASA's water treatment facilities. The filter media is tested at an on site lab for sizing and organics.
Sand/Cement Blends -
Processed, graded sand is a main ingredient in many sand/cement blends for the construction industry, Thinset, tile grout, plaster mix, concrete mix, construction grout etc.
