Capt Marvin's Watersports' is owned and operated by Captain Marvin Pratt, who has been flying since 1990 with 22 years of experience.
We have two (2) 1999 Premium Custom 28' USCG certified twelve (12) passenger parasail boats. Our Boats are designed specifically for parasailing. Whether you are all by yourself or a large group we are more than happy to take you to new heights.
We Operate on Provo's Grace Bay Beach and do pickups from all major resorts and all public beach access points. Our boats are kept in the Turtle Cove Marina where we also do pickups.
Our custom built winch boats are "state of the art", utilizing a hydraulic launch and retrieval system. This provides for easy take offs and landings from the flight deck of the boat. Our rides are under control for an effortless thrill ride. You Don't even have to get wet!
We offer single, tandem, triple and even four passenger flights. We fly on one thousand (1000) feet of rope, which puts you at approximately 400 to 500 feet above the water. Each ride lasts about 12 to 15 minutes, 90% of our flights are usually tandem, so bring along a friend to fly with you. The entire trip last for about one and a half hours from start to finish

We had a very poor experience with this excursion. My mother and I were picked up by Captain Marvin on his boat after we were promised by someone on the shore in red (he called himself Joe) that Captain Marvin would be able to bring us back to shore before 10am (check out time is at 11am at the hotel we were staying at and we wanted to leave enough time to pack). Joe said that there would be no problem with this.
However, after we got on the boat, we saw a couple already on board and then Captain Marvin made another stop at another hotel to pick up another couple. At this time, it was around (9:30a) and each couple would take about 15 min each, which would put us over the 10am time frame that was promised that we would be back by.
We made sure that Captain Marvin was aware of our time constraints of being back by 10am and that we were concerned that we would not be back in time by then. However, Captain Marvin rudely responded that we were not supposed to be on his boat. He then said he would take us back to shore.
However, this did not happen. Instead of taking us back to shore, even despite knowing our time constraints, Captain Marvin decided to take us all further to sea without any explanation. It was at that point that he decided to have the other couples go parasailing while we waited for them. After they were done parasailing, Captain Marvin inexplicably packed up the parachute.
In confusion, we asked why we were not able to go parasailing as we were already out to sea. Captain Marvin rudely responded that he would not allow us to go parasailing. He then took us all back to shore.
I believe that this was very unprofessional and unfair of Captain Marvin. It was a poor decision on Captain Marvin’s part not to take us back to shore after knowing our time constraints and not even letting us go parasailing, despite Captain Marvin picking us up for that purpose. This unfortunately ruined our experience with Captain Marvin and tainted our morning.
It is for these reasons that I would not recommend using Captain Marvin’s Watersports.
