Antigua Sailing Week 2024

Antigua Sailing Week (ASW) will take place this year from 27 April – 3 May with a packed programmes of races on the water as well as entertaining land-based events.

The 55th edition of the regatta is set to thrill spectators with its usual blend of high-octane sailing as hundreds of sailors from over 15 countries, including several other Caribbean islands, travel to Antigua to join in the event.

There will be plenty of post-race fun as well including the popular ‘Reggae in the Park’ on Tuesday 30 April.

This year, ASW will also be hosting the second edition of the Antigua Wingfoil Championship in collaboration with the Caribbean Foiling Championship (CFC). This event will involve three days of racing.

The Youth to Keelboat (Y2K) programme, which aims to give Antiguan youth the opportunity to gain keelboat racing experience, will also be taking place during the week-long regatta for the fifth year.

Below is the full ASW schedule:

Thursday 25 April – Antigua Wingfoil Championship Day 1.  

Friday 26 April – Antigua Wingfoil Championship Day 2. Neon Rave (English Harbour Rum Party).

Saturday 27 April – Peters & May Round Antigua Race. Antigua Wingfoil Championship Day 3. Official ASW ‘Chase the Race’ Opening Party. 

Sunday 28 April – Race Day 1.

Monday 29 April – Race Day 2. 

Tuesday 30 April – Race Day 3. Reggae in the Park (13th edition). 

Thursday 2 May – Race Day 4 and Locman Italy Women’s.

Friday 3 May – Race Day 5 and final prize giving party.  

Saturday 4 May – Dockyard Day in Nelson’s Dockyard.
