With the rainy season behind us and warm temperatures and blue skies outside, it’s the perfect time to head outdoors.

This March will offer an excellent opportunity with the first annual Bonaire International Sport Week, entitled It’s in Our Nature. Highly anticipated, this exciting, new event is expected to offer significant benefits to our sport, health and wellness industries, not to mention our youth.

The week of extracurricular activities will showcase a variety of games. Whether participating in a sport or cheering your favourite team or athlete, get ready to enjoy rousing games of soccer, softball, Bolas, beach tennis and more.

The games will begin on 24 March and run through to 2 April 2023. Get your crew, coolers with drinks ready. The week will kick off with the Girls Fast Pitch softball competition which takes place from 23 to 26 March 2023.

On 26 March communities can get involved in the Walk for All. This event will also feature a running and cycling event. Another event that is guaranteed to be a huge draw is the soccer matchup between Bonaire and Turks and Caicos. The first international Concacaf championship soccer match occurs on 28 March 2023 in Rincon.

Several other competitions will take place between 30 March and 2 April. Locals and visitors will be treated to the Aqua Speed Pro Kids International, the Bolas International Match and the International Beach Tennis event. In addition, there will be various musical and cultural activities during the week. This month, there will be so many things to do in Bonaire, it will be difficult to choose.

Let’s all head outdoors for our first-ever Bonaire International Sport Week because, after all, it’s in our nature!
